The coauthors of the covers are persons enrolled in substance abuse treatment & rehabilitation programmes carried out in the residential communities run by CE.I.S. Livorno ETS Impresa Sociale. Plus a child (son of a community worker)! With the supervision of Lorenzo Scacchia & Luisa Elefante (project coordinator at CE.I.S.), they took part in photographic trips along the Livorno seafront & to the woods of Collesalvetti.
Following individual & group meetings with Scacchia – assisted by staff from the three therapeutic communities involved – each of them chose a photograph & coined the corresponding title. Elements he then harmonised into a graphic dress in order to create the exhibited covers.

The mosaic of small affixed photographs tells the story behind the trips.
The fluttering sheets were written by the coauthors (& can be read on Covers). Their arrangement – which will cause quite a few stiff necks among those present – is inspired by the libeccio wind, which blows from the southwest along the Livorno coast.
