«Never tell a book by its cover»… Yet a book can be written by the cover! First staged in 2019, at each edition Incipitojo – even if orbiting around the same founding idea – tunes itself to the forms of the venue & the ongoing synergies. Hitherto, 60 covers of imaginary books had come to light (as well as 12 labels of imaginary wines). In each of them, the HNK logo evokes the one of a fake publishing house.
The neologism Incipitojo imagines an intimate place, where the incipits come to life (intended as covers, starting point & suggestion for writing); the subtitle {ad uso di starvi a fantasiar} {circa: Suitable to stay in there fantasising} draws from:
